We are currently recruiting for an Electrical/E&I Technician for our trusted client to be based out of their office in Dubai.

Responsibility-

  • Carry out breakdown and routine E&I maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor (E&I).
  • Responsible for timely servicing and repair of Terminals’ E&I assets owned or managed by EIL.
  • Plan and carry out various predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenances following maintenance procedure, and providing timely work progress updates and Preventive Maintenance (PM) metrics as assigned by Supervisor / Planner.
  • Ensure all maintenance routines are in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations and best industry practices.
  • Lead, monitor and update work progress by external contractors for Terminal’s E&I activities.
  • Develop and upgrade work procedures / inspection checklists for Terminals’ E&I equipment.
  • Support E&I contractors ensuring the work is carried out in a safe manner and completed in line with EIL standards / procedures.
  • Responds to E&I breakdowns and other field activities upon request by Shift Leader or Maintenance Supervisor (E&I).
  • Maintain and update Terminal’s Maintenance Management System (MMS) records, including spares requisition and inventory.
  • Support Project Management works, such as pre-commissioning and commissioning of new facilities / equipment.
  • Undertakes a wide range of breakdown / corrective repair by analyzing faults, identifying defective parts and repair.
  • Comply / Implement the Organization’s EHS and IMS Policy.
    Stop any unsafe work/act and report to the Department Manager / Supervisor.
  • Member of the Terminal Emergency Response Team.
  • The above accountabilities shall cover all E&I equipment of the terminals like tanks, pumps pipelines, hoses, valves, heaters, flow meters, product pumps and Fire water / foam systems, Marine and Truck Loading Arms, Fire Fighting equipment etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma / Trade Certificate in Electrical or E&I engineering discipline.
  • Multi-tasking Skills acquired by experience. 2 years’ experience for diploma holders and 3 years for Trade certificate holders.
  • Ability to work in the hazardous environment with the required knowledge level and skills related to safety.
  • Vocational Experience of Petroleum Terminals Maintenance and Operations.
  • Computer Literacy and relevant system knowledge for making entries in to the maintenance system.
  • Ability to understand recognized Industry Standards in maintenance and safety.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate contractors employed by the Company.
  • Independent and hardworking individual with minimal supervision required upon assigned, depending on circumstances.
